Meet The Team
Jim
Owner
As the owner of James Swift Construction, Inc. (DBA Richards & Swift Roofing), it is my honor and privilege to come alongside homeowners to help them with their roofing needs. I have been in the roofing business for over 30 years, opening my own company in 2021 with my wife, Lisa. Working with her and having her support these last few years has been one major highlight of running my own company. Another huge highlight is earning the trust of our customers, so much so that they eagerly refer me to their family and friends. Outside of our business, I am a huge fan of being outdoors. I love little jobs around our home, and I love to fish, hike, golf, travel, and explore the United States with my family.

Owner & Business Manager
I currently work alongside my husband, Jim, as co-owner of our company and fully enjoy being with him on this journey. We have been married over 30 years and have three grown boys. Before working for our company, I got to be at home with our boys, a time in my life I will always treasure. Now some of my favorite times are watching my husband and our boys enjoy the outdoors. I also love hosting family and friends in our home, taking long walks with my husband, and soaking up the sunshine during Michigan summers. My days at work are spent caring for the business side of the company, which allows Jim to focus on operations and customer relations.

Sales & Operations
My role with Richards & Swift Roofing is getting to be part of the sales team. For five years now I have been helping homeowners with their roofs, gutters, and insulation. There is something satisfying when a customer's job is complete and they share how happy they are with the whole experience. It means my goal of 100% customer satisfaction was met, and it keeps me motivated to continue delivering that same result. Like my dad, Jim, I am all about the outdoors and I especially like to explore upper Michigan and the surrounding states. I love to hike, hunt, fish, golf, and ride a four-wheeler. I also love sports, any sports.

Sales & Marketing
I am the newest team member of Richards & Swift Roofing, and I am excited to be part of the family business while taking on sales and marketing. I enjoy working with homeowners one on one, helping with their roofing needs, and sharing about the company on social media. When I am not working, I enjoy getting together with friends, spending time with my older brothers, trying new cuisines, and being outdoors through jogging, fishing, golfing, and paddle boarding.

Office Manager
I have spent the last 10 years working in the roofing industry, gaining experience and knowledge across multiple aspects of the trade. When Jim and Lisa opened Richards & Swift Roofing in 2021 they asked me to join their team, and I happily accepted. When you call the company, there is a good chance you will get to chat with me, which is one of my favorite things about my job. I also enjoy coordinating operations with Jim, the sales team, our suppliers, and our crews. Lisa often calls me the team's "Chaos Coordinator," and I think it fits perfectly. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and especially hanging out in my garden with our dog and chickens.
